There was also a lot going on outside the barn. This beauty greeted us as we arrived. She needs to put some meat on her bones.
There was a beautiful display supporting the local CSA's. That stands for Community Supported Agriculture and you can find out more about it on their website. There are probably some by you. For a donation to the local Agricultural center you could take some produce. I just took a couple of fresh eggs and made lovely scrambled eggs the next morning. I took a blue one, from an Americana chicken? Something like that. My memory is going. Click on the photo to enlarge it and see how beautiful this produce was.
The farmer was a pig farmer and brought these babies along.
This is a 6 week old calf whose Momma had died.
The animals didn't much care about us. Unless we had a snack to share.
