Special Friends

Last weekend was just a crazy weekend, with lots of things on the schedule. They were all fun events that I didn't want to miss out on. My girlfriends, who you've seen many times, decided to go to The Vintage Marketplace on Friday together then exchange our Christmas presents over lunch. The Vintage Marketplace is in Rainbow, CA four time a year (I believe). They always set up a fun photo booth at the entrance of the event.  We took advantage of it again this year.

Rita Reade is one of the organizers and she makes beautiful jewelry among other things.

This booth above was one of my favorites.  Can you tell what this mantle originally was?  I don't know the correct name, but it's one of those grates that goes on the hearth of a fireplace.  They flipped it upside down, put a metal top on it and mounted it as a gorgeous mantel.  I loved it!
One woman bought two stars made from old lumber. Fun to use for Christmas!
This Christmas tree was dressed for the occasion.

We admired this beautiful car outside the diner while we waited for lunch. It was pristine.

Here we are having a grand time.  We exchange "favorite thing" gifts.
I found the idea on The Nester's blog a couple of years ago.  I love the idea.
I think girlfriends are one of the best gifts, don't you?
