Dining Table Search

I've been searching my pictures for some dining table inspiration. I REALLY need a new table, preferably before May. I love the look of these old or reproduction tables. I've found ones I like here, but they are around $6000!!!!!! That's without chairs. I don't think so. I really want a farmhouse style table. Pottery Barn has options, but I'd like solid wood, if I can afford it.

While on vacation I happened on to Paula Deen's new furniture line. I really liked the details. The store there in Kansas was going to check on delivery options for me in California. I never heard back from them. Must not have been possible. So, onto the internet we went. Low and behold, practically next door to me is a store that carries her line. So, guess what? In about 4 weeks I'll have my new dining room set. Here's a peek.

We are mixing up the chairs a little bit between the two styles and an armchair option. I can't wait!

  2. we got our farmhouse table (solid wood) from Williams & Sononma and it looks as good today as it did 20 years ago and it has survived 5 boys!

  3. That Southern living pic is just my style. A balance between rustic and elegant with a bit of contemporary mixed in there. Love that.

  5. Very pretty! My dream is one day to have a dining room big enough to have one of those 10'+ tables for everyone just to hang out one. Love the old look of them.

  8. Oh lovely! Congrats! I have Paula Deen spoons...but sadly no furniture. I desperately want a new table too (ahem, and couch, etc.) but until there isn't a daily doodle in marker on every flat surface in my home...I'm stuck with the ugly one from my inlaws. :)

We have a store here called Montana Furniture Traders and they make furniture out of old barn beams and reclaimed wood. I could walk in there and drop my life's savings in the blink of an eye.
