Flowers are back! I remember wearing flowers on my dresses in high school in the 70's. I had an especially pretty one that was a rust color with little feathers coming out of it. It looked really nice on my Qiana knit dress. Remember that fabric? HA! I'd love to know if you do. We've seen a return of beautiful flowers and ruffles for this Spring. This is one trend that I may have to embrace.
oh yes, I have indeed noticed the return of flowers and ruffles, very feminine, which I like!
ReplyDeleteI too, have seen ruffles and flowers for spring & summer. Could we be starting a new era of romance??! ;-)

I'm loving this new trend too. I went shopping last weekend and saw so many garments with fabric flowers. They're so pretty and romantic. It's inspiring me to make some. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the girlie trend of flowers and shapes like this. Thanks for your comment on my announcement. Always an encourager

Karen,
ReplyDeleteI am with you...love the flowers and ruffles that are out there now. I can't seem to control myself when I see them in the shops. I have decided that women of a certain age look good in anything ruffly that is loosly draped around the neckline. I recently sighted a very elegant woman wearing a beautiful cashmere wrap with a big loose ruffle along the edges. It was stunning and I haven't stopped googling for it since. Seek and you shall find is my motto! I was in high school in the 70's but can not recall Qiana. Knit dresses yes..I will have to google that one too. Just received an invite for my 35th HIgh School reunion...yikes. Haven't been to one yet..will I or won't I...

Oh! Yeah! It looks lovely. Flower is a symbol of femininity.
ReplyDeleteI do like the new flower trend. And yes I remember Qiana - I had my prom dress made with it!
ReplyDeleteI like 3rd flower best it looks the most natural of the 3
ReplyDeleteQiana! Wow, I haven't thought about it for years. When I was in junior high, my mom was on a sewing kick and made me several qiana dresses, including one that was a long powder blue empire waist with ruffly cap sleeves - it was for the big 8th grade spring dance. It would have been improved with a lovely flower . . . but, instead I think I wore tan hose with white sandals . . . not that's a look not likely to return!
