A Little Progress

I made my mantle more neutral this year.  For some reason the larger photo won't load.
This little reindeer was my Memaw's.
I added a Wendy Addison Star to my Nativity this year.
Bows are from strips of toile that I had, upholstery webbing from ebay, tarnished ornaments from JoAnn's, and stencils from ebay.
These little mittens were my youngest daughter's. The cute ear muff got eaten by a puppy a long time ago.
Luke 2 in the old family Bible.
Antique ornaments and pine cones in my apothecary jars. This table isn't finished, that's why you have a close up of the jars. I think I need a poinsettia to finish up the table or photos or both!

  3. I could just come and curl up in your surroundings. Love how you decorate and create little vignettes of beauty. I really love the stencils, memws reindeer, and well....all of it.

  4. Your home looks so welcoming! I love how you use meaningful things in your decor and everything looks so beautiful.
I have to that a G. Harvey painting above your mantle?

  5. Such pretty decorations Karen! I loved your bible idea so much that I jumped up from my computer and got a very old one from the living room bookcase and opened it to the same chapter!! I laid my great grandmothers eyeglasses on top of it. I also have a cross bookmark that my grandmother gave me and I want to add that as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. Please say hello while you are here. It would be so wonderful to meet you.
