Vintage Hardware

I happen to love vintage hardware.  I have a favorite antique hardware store where there are all kinds of treasures.  These first pictures are of some of my finds.  You can tell where the professional pictures take over.

This looks like it is part of a light fixture.  I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet.  I could sit a candle on it, but I've done that and have enough candles.  I may hang it.  It's a little heavy. I could put a photo in the center.

I really like my little faucet handles.  I may put one more here.  This is down low on a half wall. Small children find this very intriguing.
My antique door is an interior door and did not come with this cute knocker.  But, it seemed like the perfect home to me.
These antique hooks come in VERY handy when walking in the back door with dry cleaning.  I also decorate with them.   Big surprise, I know.  They are also good for things that need to go out to the car or garage.

Here are some fun ideas from Country Home :-(.

There was a great idea like this from BH&G a few years ago, but I can't find it.  I bought some of these in order to mount them for desk organization.  When I ever get that done, I'll post it.

Check out ebay.com for lots of great hardware.  Beware that some of it is not old.  Read closely. Have fun with it.

  1. I wish I could keep every piece of old hardware that I find, but in this little apartment of mine, I'm not really able to. I stick them wherever i can use them They are just so artful and the detail on some of those pieces are wonderful.
    Thanks for the ideas.
    Blessings
