Bridal Shower

After deciding that I would do a Vintage Kitchen shower for our bride, I started realizing all the things I really did have that would pull this off.  It all started with an apron.  I have a vintage green smocked gingham apron that I bought years ago.  Since green was one of her colors I began here.  I pulled out a green Jadite cake stand and a vintage rolling pin, with green handles, of course.  I bought some more utensils and borrowed a Jadite batter bowl.  I also thought of my Mother's milk glass.  I had some bowls out, but realized I had four boxes that were unopened.  I have had these boxes for at least 10 years!  Look what I found in those boxes!!!!!!  Is this perfect, or what?  In case you wondered, I apologized to my Mom for not opening them earlier.
On a trip to the Farmer's Market I found these lovely tulips.  Emily's colors are green, yellow and orange.  They were perfect in my antique ironstone pitcher.
I made these little favors off of Martha's idea.  Very easy and cute, I have to say.
Yes, that's an vintage ice cream maker.
I added some fake fruit, which I had, and made the napkins tied with rickrack, which was easy.
I also made Emily wear a "veil" that I made out of the gingham's and calicos.  She's going to wear it for her rehearsal.  She is a VERY good sport.
I think I'll fill you in on the yummy food tomorrow.  Thanks for visiting.
