The Rest of the Tour

Welcome to Segment Two of my Christmas Home Tour.
Yesterday I was feeling pretty awful after the flurry of my party Monday night. I'm not sure why that happens, but lately I usually follow a big event with a big stinking headache all day long. So, I wasn't much for conversation yesterday. Since my house was very clean and decorated I took the morning to take a bunch of photos. You can find the first part of my tour here. Our house is set up a little different than normal. Most of the living area is the main floor, with extra bedrooms down stairs, sort of a walk-out basement situation. We are going to finish upstairs beginning with the kitchen.
There are several thrifted pieces here along with a couple of antique show finds. The Christmas napkins include little place cards that are SO CUTE! I haven't decided what, if anything, I'm going to do with them yet.
I got out my new-last-year Vera tea towel from Crate and Barrel.
The little pewter butter dish was found last weekend at The Vintage Marketplace.
Also on the main floor is the Master Bedroom.
From this perspective, the Joy to The World pillow is the only Christmas decoration.

The mantel has a few more additions. I still want to add some fresh greens.

My collection of sand is growing, little by little.
Sorry, no Christmas on our little sailboat.
The downstairs Family Room or Man Cave as it's affectionally called, should by all respects have a sports themed tree. I just can't justify starting all over with decorations just to keep it all in theme. This tree has a snow theme. I added little pick-ups this year. That should help it fit a little better.

One of the guest rooms gets hanging snowflakes, some are lit with battery powered tea lights. I really want to paint this room a lighter color.  It's on the list.

My uncle brought these angels back from Germany when he was in the Vietnam War.
Last but not least is my Craft Room which is totally undecorated for Christmas.  However, it is a wonderful place to wrap presents and make cute gift tags.

There have been some wonderful Home Tours in blogland recently.  I probably haven't even seen them all yet.  Of the three I've seen, I'd thought I'd share with you my favorite homes.  Check out these when you have a minute:

Craftberry Bush is in two or three tours for good reason.
French Country Cottage is simple and lovely. I LOVE all her pine cones!
Rusty Hinge has quite the collection of ironstone, Shiny Brites, and bottlebrush trees! I love it all.
Jeanne Oliver has the home of an artist, unique and creative!
Paige Knudsen has simplified her Christmas decorating and it is simply stunning!

I'm joining Nita's Mod Mix Monday today. Come check out the other participants.

  1. Your bottles of sand look cute and stand out so much more in that adorable little blue shelf/frame. :-) If you post any more Christmas decoration pics, I'd love to see one of the trucks on the man cave tree. :-)
